Maram Kairé, Director General of the Senegalese Agency for Space Studies (ASES), has been appointed to the Seraphim Space Global Advisory Council on the Future of Space. Established in April at the Colorado Springs Space Symposium, the council brings together experts to analyze trends in space technology, investment, geopolitics, sustainability, and long-term industry prospects. Seraphim Space President Candace Johnson emphasized the importance of incorporating African perspectives, particularly regarding geo-intelligence, system resilience, sustainable development, and international cooperation. Kairé’s scientific background, including participation in three NASA missions focused on stellar occultations, was highlighted as a valuable asset. The council aims to shape the strategic direction of the global space sector through expert analysis and forward-looking discussions. This appointment signifies growing recognition of African expertise within the international space community.
