Senegal’s Football Federation (FSF) has refuted claims of logistical difficulties and inadequate conditions for its national team, the “Lions of Teranga,” during their preparations for the 2026 World Cup in the United States. FSF Vice President Babacar Ndiaye stated players are receiving high-level support, including specialized nutrition from Senegalese chefs and nutritionists. A comprehensive medical team consisting of doctors, physiotherapists, and osteopaths is also supporting the team. The delegation is staying in a FIFA-approved hotel with strict security measures, while family members are housed separately. Ndiaye clarified that ticket distribution is managed through Senegalese diplomatic representations, not directly by the FSF. He expressed regret over the spread of what he considers damaging misinformation that could disrupt team morale, as the team prepares for their next match against Norway following an opening defeat to France.
