A complex murder case in Senegal has taken a dramatic turn as Mamadou Lamine Diaw, initially accused in the deaths of El Hadji Abdoul Aziz Ba (Aziz Dabala) and Boubacar (Waly Gano), recanted his confession. Diaw now alleges that singers Tarba Mbaye and Marème Leye (Nabou Lèye) were the true perpetrators, claiming they hired him to intimidate Dabala over compromising videos. He alleges Nabou Lèye stabbed Dabala, while Tarba Mbaye fatally stabbed Gano. Authorities investigated Tarba Mbaye following a judicial delegation, but he denies any involvement or contact with Diaw. The initial investigation had implicated Diaw along with several others for charges including association of criminals, barbaric murder, theft, and receiving stolen goods. The case remains ongoing as investigators attempt to unravel the conflicting testimonies.
