Senegal’s national weather agency, ANACIM, forecasts cloudy conditions and rainfall across much of the country between Thursday afternoon and Friday afternoon. Light rains are expected in Dakar, Thiès, Fatick, and Ziguinchor during the afternoon, spreading to Kédougou, Tambacounda, Bakel, and Kolda overnight. Kaffrine and Matam regions also face a risk of scattered showers. Simultaneously, inland areas, particularly in the northeast including Podor, Linguère, Matam, and Bakel, are predicted to experience high temperatures reaching 40-42°C. Coastal regions, from Dakar to Casamance, will remain relatively cooler. Winds will be light to moderate, and visibility is expected to remain good nationwide. ANACIM advises citizens to monitor weather updates for evolving conditions.
