Investigations into the death of 20-year-old Ndèye Bigué Sène, found dead in Tivaouane, are nearing completion. The prime suspect, B. Ndiaye, described as a charlatan, is expected to appear before the prosecutor in Thiès on August 27th. The autopsy report reveals the death was likely caused by manual strangulation, dismissing initial suspicions of sexual assault as no evidence of sperm cells or lesions indicative of rape were found. The report details traumatic injuries, including neck wounds, a fractured hyoid bone, and a cerebral hematoma, consistent with significant neck compression. While the body was partially decomposed, toxicological and anatomical samples were collected. The medical examiner concluded the cause of death is consistent with mechanical asphyxiation through strangulation.
