The Šmejkala Bridge on the D1 motorway has completed its second night of total closure for load testing. This follows a previous night where traffic on detour routes completely collapsed. During the first phase, numerous trucks ignored road signs and entered narrow roads meant for passenger cars. However, the situation was significantly different during the second night. Police increased patrols to better manage the flow of vehicles. Most trucks were successfully diverted away from restricted residential areas. Consequently, the second phase of the closure proceeded without major problems.
