A school van traveling in Murree, Pakistan, caught fire on Tuesday after leaving the road near Bara Hotar Link Road, injuring 11 people. Rescue 1122 reported that the vehicle, a Suzuki Bolan, was quickly engulfed in flames, but all passengers—primarily schoolchildren—were successfully evacuated. Nine of the passengers, ranging in age from four to 14, sustained burn injuries, while two were unharmed. Authorities dispatched rescue teams to the scene to provide immediate medical assistance. This incident follows a series of similar events this year, including van fires in Karachi’s Shah Faisal Colony and a fatal collision in Okara, raising concerns about school transport safety across Pakistan. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire in Murree.
