Mediation between the parties in the SAS dispute has concluded, confirmed mediator Hilde Lund of the National Mediator Service to NRK. The mediator has presented a proposal, which the employer has accepted. The employees will now send the proposal to a ballot, with a deadline of October 23rd at 12:00. The Norwegian United Federation of Trade Unions (Fellesforbundet) and the Norwegian Employers’ Organisation for Aviation (NHO Luftfart) participated in the mediation. A strike by cabin crew at SAS Link was previously announced for next week if an agreement wasn’t reached. The ballot’s outcome will determine whether the potential strike proceeds.
