Sarawak’s General Operations Force (GOF) conducted a raid, ‘Op Bersepadu E-Cigarette Sarawak’, on Wednesday resulting in a significant seizure of illegal tobacco products. The operation led to the confiscation of 1,279 vape devices and 19.24 litres of vape liquid. A variety of cigarettes were also seized as part of the enforcement effort. The total value of the contraband amounts to over RM160,000. This bust highlights ongoing efforts to combat the illegal trade of e-cigarettes and cigarettes within the state. Authorities have not yet released information regarding any arrests made in connection with the operation. The GOF continues to actively monitor and address illicit activity related to these products.
