Sarajevo Canton is experiencing a significant rise in packaging recycling, diverting waste from landfills. Recent data from KJKP “RAD” d.o.o. Sarajevo indicates a 77.8% increase in collected recyclable packaging between 2022 and the present. The amount of bottles, cardboard, glass, and cans collected for recycling jumped from 559 tons in 2022 to 995 tons. This positive trend suggests improved waste management practices and increased public participation in recycling programs within the Canton.
