A 39-year-old man critically injured in a traffic accident was saved by surgeons who travelled to Cần Giờ, a district of Ho Chi Minh City, to perform emergency surgery. The patient suffered a ruptured liver and severe traumatic shock. Due to the severity of his condition and the distance to a suitable operating facility, three doctors undertook the journey to Cần Giờ to perform the urgent operation in the middle of the night. The swift response and immediate surgical intervention were crucial in stabilizing the patient and preventing a fatal outcome. The case highlights the dedication of medical professionals and the challenges of providing emergency care in geographically diverse areas. The patient is currently recovering following the successful procedure.
