A Russian university is developing a nanosatellite, ReshUCube-4, to test a new environmentally friendly rocket fuel in the conditions of space. The project is a collaboration between Reshetnev Siberian State University of Science and Technology and the Keldysh Research Center. The satellite will allow researchers to evaluate the performance of this “green propellant” technology. This testing in orbit is a crucial step towards more sustainable space travel. Developing eco-friendly fuel is increasingly important as space programs expand globally. The mission aims to validate the technology for potential use in future satellite propulsion systems and reduce the environmental impact of space launches. Successful testing could position Russia as a leader in green space technology.
