Russian scientists at the Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics University have achieved a breakthrough in battery technology, creating the world's first wirelessly charged AA battery. The innovative battery utilizes standard Qi wireless charging technology, the same system used for many smartphones. This allows the AA battery to be charged simply by placing it on a compatible charging pad. Details regarding the battery’s capacity and charging speed haven’t been released, but the development represents a significant step forward in convenience and potential applications for portable devices. This new technology could eliminate the need for battery replacement and reduce electronic waste. Further research and development will be necessary to refine the technology and explore mass production possibilities, however, the prototype demonstrates a viable concept. The invention marks a significant leap in convenient power solutions for various applications.
