A fire broke out at a restaurant on Via Valleranello in Rome Friday evening, July 24th. The flames spread from the restaurant to surrounding brush, threatening nearby residences. As a precaution, residents were evacuated from affected homes. A large column of smoke was visible for miles around. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported. Firefighters worked extensively to contain the blaze, which spread rapidly due to windy conditions. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
