Romania's natural gas storage levels for the winter of 2026-2027 are currently over ten percent lower than at the end of summer last year, according to Sorin Elisei, Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy. Despite this decrease, Elisei stated that a ten percent reduction compared to last winter’s levels should not cause concerns regarding gas supply. The official offered reassurance that the current levels are not anticipated to disrupt the country's ability to meet winter demands. He did not elaborate on the reasons for the lower storage levels.
