Romania’s National Agency of Fiscal Administration (ANAF) has discovered a substantial, unreported concrete operation in Suceava County. Over two and a half years, a concrete company produced and sold 36,350 cubic meters of untaxed concrete. This equates to approximately 4,000 concrete mixer truck deliveries, according to an ANAF statement released on Thursday. The revenue generated from this parallel activity exceeds 15.33 million lei. The ANAF investigation highlights significant tax evasion within the Romanian construction materials sector, and the financial damage to the state budget is currently being assessed. This discovery underscores the ANAF’s efforts to combat financial crime and ensure compliance with tax regulations in Suceava County and throughout Romania.
