Poșta Română has been issued a fine of 5,000 EUR following an investigation by the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP). The regulatory action was triggered by a report from the General Directorate of Social Assistance in Constanța. According to the complaint, several postal shipments intended for both individuals and legal entities were mishandled. The investigation focused on the failure to protect personal data during the delivery process. This sanction highlights the postal service's non-compliance with GDPR regulations. The authority emphasized the importance of securing sensitive information in transit. Consequently, the company must now address these systemic failures to avoid further penalties.
