The director of Romania’s National Agency for Cadastre and Land Publicity (ANCPI) stated that citizen data within the e-Terra application database remains secure following a recent cyberattack. The breach reportedly affected only specific applications connecting to the main database, not the core data itself. According to the official, the compromised applications will be migrated to the government cloud coordinated by STS – the Romanian Intelligence Service – on July 22nd. Following the migration, state institutions will conduct a thorough analysis of the situation. The official aimed to reassure the public regarding the safety of personal information held by the land registry.
