A national campaign, “ZERO COMPROMISURI,” has been launched in Romania to prevent minors from accessing tobacco and nicotine products. The initiative is a collaborative effort between the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), the Association of Romanian Municipalities (AMR), Philip Morris Romania, HORA (the hotel and restaurant employers' organization), and Mega Image. The campaign focuses on education and raising awareness regarding the legal restrictions on selling these products to individuals under the legal age. A recent survey indicates that 64.4% of Romanians believe existing laws regarding this issue are not adequately enforced. The partners aim to strengthen compliance and protect young people from the harmful effects of tobacco and nicotine. The campaign will likely involve educational materials and increased monitoring of sales points.
