A Romanian national was apprehended in Barcelona while attempting to travel back to Romania, found in possession of 139 mobile phones valued at €150,000. The phones are believed to have been stolen during the Primavera Sound festival, held in early June at Parc del Fòrum. Authorities made the arrest at a Barcelona bus station as the suspect prepared to depart. Catalan publication Elcaso first reported the incident. Police are investigating the possibility of additional criminal activity beyond simple theft. The investigation focuses on how the suspect managed to accumulate such a large number of devices. No further details regarding the suspect’s identity or potential accomplices have been released.
