Romania’s Environmental Fund Administration (AFM) will begin accepting applications from individuals for its 2026 car scrapping program, known as “Rabla Auto”, on July 20th at 10:00 AM. A total of 300 million lei (approximately $66 million USD) has been allocated for this initiative. The program encourages citizens to replace older, more polluting vehicles with newer, more environmentally friendly models. This funding round specifically targets individual applicants. The “Rabla Auto” program aims to reduce emissions and improve air quality by removing older cars from the roads. Further details regarding eligibility and the application process will be available through the AFM. This program is a continuation of a long-running initiative in Romania designed to modernize the vehicle fleet and support environmental goals.
