Romania’s National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued a yellow alert for a heatwave expected this weekend. Temperatures are forecast to reach a high of 36 degrees Celsius. The alert is in effect from noon to 9 PM on Saturday for the regions of Crișana, Banat, Maramureș, and parts of Transylvania. This marks the first heatwave of the summer season for the country.
