A Malian businessman, Sidi Mouhamed, filed a police report in Dakar alleging the theft of his Rolex Oyster watch, valued at $11,872. The theft occurred during a weekend stay at the Pullman Dakar hotel with friends, including businesswoman Fatou Diallo, manager Abou Daffé, student Aïssatou Goudiaby, and actress Nogaye Thiam. Mouhamed stated the watch was in his bag in room 325, where the group socialized on the night of August 28th. Several members of the group, including Thiam, moved to room 206 during the night. Mouhamed discovered the watch missing upon returning to room 325 the following afternoon. Initial attempts by Abou Daffé to retrieve the watch from the women proved unsuccessful, leading to the formal police complaint. Investigators are now focusing on the individuals present during the stay to locate the missing timepiece.
