Latvia’s capital city, Riga, is set to increase its affordable housing options with plans to construct 732 rental homes by 2030. The State Real Estate agency (VNĪ) announced the project will focus on three districts: Pļavnieki, Ziepniekkalns, and Bolderāja. This initiative addresses the growing need for accessible housing within the city. The new units aim to provide rental opportunities for residents struggling with rising housing costs. VNĪ will oversee the development and construction of these properties. The project represents a significant investment in social housing infrastructure for Riga. These developments are expected to positively impact the local rental market and provide homes for many.
