Following severe flash floods on July 17th, significant rice paddies in Mường Than were destroyed and washed away. However, surviving fields are now showing promising signs of recovery, bringing a renewed green hue to the valley. Historically, Mường Than has been one of the four major rice-producing areas in Northwest Vietnam. The re-emergence of the rice crops signals resilience amidst recent hardship for local farmers.
