Residents of four communities in Nguluzane, within the Xai-Xai district of Gaza province, are again reporting alleged schemes of food diversion and exclusion during distribution efforts. The population claims that over 150 needy families were left out of food aid between June and September. The accusations involve neighborhood secretaries, suggesting potential local-level corruption in the food distribution process. Xai-Xai’s administrator, Avelina Nhanzimo, has dismissed the claims. This is not the first instance of reported irregularities in food distribution within the region. The situation raises concerns about equitable access to aid for vulnerable populations in Nguluzane. Further investigation is needed to address the community’s grievances and ensure transparency in future distributions.
