Slovak tenor Štefan Margita has been inducted into the Hall of Fame of the National Theatre in Prague during the opening of its 144th season. The National Theatre’s leadership hailed the induction as the peak of one of the most celebrated operatic careers in the theatre’s history. Margita began performing at the National Theatre in 1984, notably as Lenskij in *Eugene Onegin* and Vašek in *The Bartered Bride*. Alongside the Hall of Fame induction, the National Theatre also recognized emerging talents under the age of 35. This year’s recipients of the theatre’s recognition award were ballerina Nana Nakagawa, singer Daniel Matoušek, dancer Matyáš Rambo, and actor Zdeněk Piškula. The ceremony served as a traditional gathering of the National Theatre’s employees.
