The Regional Express Train (TER) resumed commercial service on the Dakar-Diamniadio route on July 31, 2026, following successful speed tests related to the line’s extension to Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD). SENTER and SETER jointly announced the positive results of technical tests on the Diamniadio-AIBD section. Trains will now run every ten minutes along the Dakar-Diamniadio line. Testing will continue on the Diamniadio-AIBD segment to finalize preparations for commercial operation of the extension. Test trains, including high-speed and non-stopping runs, will be used for ongoing technical verification. Authorities urge public vigilance, prohibiting access to railway property to ensure safety and smooth operations.
