Five national treasures—Joseon Dynasty white porcelain vases commissioned by founder King Taejo (Lee Seong-gye)—will be exhibited in Yanggu County, Gangwon Province, marking their return to the region after 635 years. The artifacts are currently held by the National Museum of Korea. This exhibition represents a significant cultural event for Yanggu, considered the ancestral home of the king. The porcelain pieces are historically important, representing early Joseon artistry and royal patronage. Local officials anticipate the exhibition will boost tourism and cultural pride. The display offers a rare opportunity for the public to view these valuable relics outside of the national museum in Seoul.
