Railway traffic was temporarily disrupted in Timiș County, Romania, after a ribbon became entangled with the overhead power line on the 100th railway line. The incident occurred Sunday evening near the towns of Tapia and Găvojdia, at kilometer 507+800. The train driver of IRN 12992009, operated by CFR Călători, reported the obstruction which posed a risk to the electrification system. Intervention teams from the Timișoara Regional Railway Branch (SRCF) were dispatched to the location. They successfully removed the ribbon after a two-hour operation, restoring safe operating conditions. The quick response prevented potential damage to infrastructure and delays to other train services. Authorities are investigating how the ribbon ended up on the tracks.
