Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi announced that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership and its ally, the Tehreek Tahaffuz-i-Ayeen Pakistan (TTAP), have agreed to proceed with a long march to Islamabad on September 27th. Afridi dismissed concerns raised by Imran Khan’s sister regarding the date, stating she is not politically involved and will be informed. He firmly denied allegations of secretly meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to finalize the march date, providing an alibi for the alleged time of the meeting. Afridi also refuted claims of a communication gap within the party, responding to recent slogans demanding a direct approach to Islamabad’s D-Chowk. He warned that the public’s enthusiasm for the march is immense and cannot be suppressed. The Chief Minister also used the opportunity to criticize the federal government’s economic policies and stated he would defer the march if instructed by Imran Khan.
