The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, has appointed new leadership to the Higher Institute of Strategic Studies (AAEE). Manuel Crispo Bucuto was removed from his position as Rector, and António Caetano Lourenço was relieved of his duties as Vice-Rector. António Njanje Taimo Supeia has been named the new Rector, while Nelson Valente Rego will serve as Vice-Rector. The appointments were made under the President’s constitutional powers and legislation governing higher education. An inauguration ceremony, presided over by President Chapo, is scheduled for Wednesday, June 24th, at the Presidential Office. The AAEE is a national institution focused on training, research, and knowledge production in security, defense, and national strategy.
