Praktiker is set to disappear from Greece after 35 years, with its 17 stores being rebranded as Dedeman following a purchase by Romanian entrepreneurs Dragoș and Adrian Pavăl. The Pavăl brothers have already begun rebranding efforts, starting with signage changes and renovations at the first store, with work continuing across all acquired locations. The acquisition, completed last year, will see the Romanian-owned Dedeman stores operating throughout Greece. According to Greek publication *Money Review*, the new owners also plan to introduce products manufactured in Romania to the Greek market. This marks a significant shift in the Greek retail landscape, replacing a familiar brand with a Romanian one. The move signifies an expansion of Dedeman’s operations beyond Romania into a new European market.
