A powerful mudslide struck the city of Sulukta in the Batken region on the evening of June 19. The disaster followed a period of heavy rainfall in the area. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, mudflows swept through nine different streets. The resulting floods inundated residential homes and caused significant damage to central roads. Additionally, the torrents led to severe coastal erosion. One vehicle was swept away by the force of the mudslide. Emergency services are monitoring the impact of the environmental damage.
