Mexican energy company XM reported the addition of 321 megawatts (MW) to the national electrical system. This represents progress towards a larger goal of incorporating 4,475 MW of new capacity by 2026. The current annual effective capacity of the system stands at 21,330.19 MW. Hydropower currently dominates the system, accounting for 62% of the total capacity. The newly added capacity contributes to bolstering the country’s energy infrastructure.
