Portuguese Republican National Guard (GNR) officers have arrested 14 individuals suspected of drug trafficking following raids in the municipalities of Aljustrel and Ferreira do Alentejo. The operation involved 162 military personnel and resulted in the seizure of cocaine and ecstasy, as well as firearms. Authorities also confiscated 2,385 euros in cash during the searches. The GNR has not released details regarding the quantity of drugs or weapons seized. The arrests are part of an ongoing effort to combat drug-related crime in the Alentejo region. Investigations are continuing, and those arrested are expected to face criminal charges. No injuries were reported during the operation.
