Investigations by Swedish Radio P4 Jönköping have revealed that several brands of *falukorv*, a popular Swedish sausage, contain very little beef despite labeling suggesting otherwise. Earlier reporting by SVT Jönköping in May highlighted that Vaggeryds chark had removed beef from its recipe but continued to list it as an ingredient. Subsequent DNA testing conducted by P4 Jönköping on multiple brands confirmed this trend, showing minimal traces of beef in several products. This discrepancy between labeling and actual content raises questions about transparency in food production. The findings suggest consumers may be misled regarding the ingredients of this traditionally beef-containing sausage. Authorities have not yet commented on potential regulatory action. The investigation aims to provide consumers with accurate information about the products they purchase.
