A national investigation is underway in Poland regarding housing allowances paid to 38 prosecutors who served during the tenure of Zbigniew Ziobro. Over 2.3 million złoty (approximately $570,000 USD) in allowances were distributed to these prosecutors, all stationed in Warsaw. The investigation focuses on whether these funds were improperly obtained, as some recipients reportedly owned property in the capital city. Authorities are examining the possibility of public funds fraud. The payments were intended to assist with housing costs for prosecutors working in Warsaw. Bogdan Święczkowski, a figure connected to the case, has already issued a statement. The probe aims to determine if the allowances were legitimately claimed or constituted an abuse of public resources.
