A parliamentary committee in Poland has agreed to waive the immunity of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski. The decision follows a request from prosecutors investigating allegations of embezzlement. Bartoszewski is accused of misappropriating property totaling a significant sum. The alleged misappropriation involves one million British pounds, 45,000 euros, and over six million Polish złotych. The case will now proceed to the Sejm, the Polish parliament, for a final vote on the matter of lifting his immunity. If the Sejm approves, Bartoszewski could face criminal prosecution related to the charges. This development marks a significant challenge for the Polish People's Party (PSL), to which the Deputy Minister belongs.
