A new report, “Health with AI,” reveals that approximately 17 million people in Poland are consulting artificial intelligence (AI) regarding their own health or that of their family members. The study indicates a growing reliance on AI for medical information and guidance. Notably, 19 percent of those using AI have purchased over-the-counter medications or supplements based on its recommendations. Furthermore, 8.3 percent have altered their medication dosage or discontinued a prescribed drug after receiving advice from AI. This trend raises questions about the impact of AI on healthcare decisions within Poland and the potential risks associated with self-treatment. The report underscores the need for further research into the accuracy and reliability of AI-driven health advice and the importance of consulting qualified medical professionals.
