A couple in Poland has funded the construction of Europe’s tallest statue of Mary, the Mother of Mercy, in Konotop. Grażyna Karkosik, wife of businessman Roman Karkosik, revealed the monument serves as an expression of gratitude. The Karkosiks financed the project following Roman Karkosik’s recovery from a stroke. Mrs. Karkosik stated the statue is a heartfelt thank you for her husband's restored health. The monument represents a significant religious landmark and a testament to personal faith. The statue’s impressive height marks it as the largest of its kind in Europe.
