Poland is investigating a possible airspace violation following reports of an unidentified flying object over Lublin, in eastern Poland. A search and rescue team is looking for a potential impact site south of Lublin, though the initial breach remains unconfirmed. Residents near the Zemborzycki Reservoir and Leczna reported hearing a loud, unidentified object flying overhead, but no explosion was detected. Simultaneously, Lithuania activated its air raid sirens due to an unidentified flying object, prompting residents to seek shelter and leading to the temporary closure of Kaunas Airport. NATO fighter jets were deployed, and a limited air raid alert was also issued in bordering areas of Latvia. Lithuania has previously accused Russia of intentionally directing Ukrainian drones into Baltic airspace, with one drone shot down over Lithuanian territory in September, reportedly originating from Belarus. These incidents raise concerns amidst the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, where drone warfare is prevalent.
