The Philippine National Police (PNP) has established a task force to investigate an ambush targeting Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Interim Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua. The incident occurred Saturday afternoon in Maguindanao del Norte, where unidentified gunmen opened fire on Macacua’s convoy. Fortunately, neither Macacua nor any members of his security detail were injured in the attack. Authorities are currently working to identify the perpetrators and determine the motive behind the ambush. The PNP aims to swiftly bring those responsible to justice, ensuring the safety and stability of the BARMM region. This investigation is a top priority for national security officials, given Macacua's prominent role in the region's autonomous government.
