The Hoskins Airport upgrade project in Papua New Guinea’s West New Britain Province is over halfway complete, reaching 57% completion. The National Airports Corporation (NAC) reports that work is proceeding on both airside and landside areas. Recent work focused on completing stages 1 through 7 of the planned Minimum Operational Works Programme (MOWP). The project is now awaiting approval to begin the final stage, stage 8. The NAC has informed airlines, businesses, and other stakeholders of the project’s status. Details of the project were published behind a paywall on the Post Courier website.
