Law and Justice (PiS) party members have filed a request with the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA) to investigate alleged irregularities within the Karkonosze Regional Development Agency. The investigation stems from accusations that the agency's director, Anna Konieczyńska, a member of Civic Coalition (KO), improperly allocated flood relief funds to her husband and neighbors despite no reported flood damage to their properties. PiS MP Michał Moskal condemned the situation, claiming it represents the misuse of state resources for political gain by the Civic Coalition. He characterized the agency as a “feudal estate” controlled by the Platforma Obywatelska party. The request to the CBA signals a heightened political offensive by PiS against the current government. The investigation will determine if any laws were broken in the allocation of disaster relief funding. The allegations threaten to escalate tensions between the ruling and opposition parties.
