The National Library of Peru (BNP) celebrated Children’s Day with a cultural event in Villa María del Triunfo, Lima. Over 250 children from three local communities, including a soup kitchen and a community dining hall, participated in the festivities. The event featured art workshops and guided reading sessions designed to promote literacy and a love of reading. Each child received a free copy of the book "¿Qué animal quisieras ser? Animales peruanos extraordinarios" (What animal would you like to be? Extraordinary Peruvian animals). The BNP aimed to foster cultural engagement and provide access to literature for children in need. The event highlighted the importance of reading and cultural activities for young people in the community. The initiative was reported by Lima Gris.
