Peruvian company Gloria has finalized the purchase of 80% of Saputo, Argentina’s largest milk processing company, in a deal valued at $500 million. The acquisition includes prominent Argentine brands such as La Paulina, Ricrem, and Molfino. Saputo processes over three million liters of milk daily for the Argentine market. The deal also encompasses two industrial plants currently operated by Saputo. This move significantly expands Gloria’s presence in the South American dairy sector. Financial details beyond the $500 million purchase price have not been disclosed. The transaction is expected to consolidate Gloria’s position as a major regional food and beverage producer.
