Peruvian artist Miguel Ángel Velit has been selected to represent Peru at the sixth edition of the BIARCO 2026 International Art Biennial. The biennial, to be held in Armenia, Quindío, Colombia, will gather artists from over 25 countries. Velit’s artwork, titled “Epicentro en Armenia: Finito/Infinito,” aims to foster a dialogue between Peru and Colombia. It explores themes of memory, culture, and the vulnerability of cities in relation to the natural world. The piece intends to establish a connection between the two nations through artistic expression. This selection highlights Peru’s growing presence on the international art stage, with the event published originally by Lima Gris.
