On June 11th, outside Go Vap High School in Ho Chi Minh City, numerous parents were observed offering emotional support to their children before a major exam. The support took the form of hugs, holding hands, and words of encouragement, aimed at calming students’ anxieties. This display of parental care occurred as students prepared to enter the examination rooms. The scene highlighted the significant role parents play in supporting their children during stressful academic periods. The gesture aimed to bolster students’ confidence and maintain a positive mindset during the challenging exam process. This practice demonstrates a common cultural expression of support during important life events for Vietnamese students.
