The Tehreek-i-Tahafuz-Ayin-i-Pakistan (TTAP) opposition alliance announced its full participation in the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf's (PTI) protest scheduled for October 4th in Islamabad. The PTI protest, originally planned for September 27th, was postponed to demand the release of former prime minister Imran Khan. While initially hesitant about the delay, TTAP leadership ultimately agreed to support the rescheduled date, though they distanced themselves from the decision to postpone. Discussions took place regarding protest strategies in Sindh and Balochistan, with consultations involving Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and PTI leadership. A TTAP spokesperson emphasized the importance of the timing, stating every day after September 27th was critical, and the alliance believes the October 4th protest is vital for Pakistan’s democratic future. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister confirmed allies were informed of the change in date.
